Move Over Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is a common staple in most pantries. As a kid you probably consumed your fair share of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (and still probably do as an adult. It’s my lazy, ‘don’t want to turn the oven on’ go to dinner). If you’re growing a little tired of peanut butter after all these years, try switching it up. There are plenty other nuts out there that have joined the party.

Almond butter has become the new ‘it’ nut butter while sunflower seed butter is quickly gaining popularity as nut allergies become more apparent. But you can also enjoy cashew butter, hazelnut butter, walnut butter or any other nut you can think of can be turned into a nut butter. They can be found in most grocery stores these days so pick some up the next time you’re grocery shopping or go ahead and make you own!

My favorite brand is Justin’s, but I also enjoy MaraNatha and Kettle nut butters. If you want to try your hand at making your own, it’s super simple and the flavor possibilities are endless. Give these a try!
