Roast your Summer Fruit

I don’t think it is possible for me to get bored with summer fruit. I can eat plain fresh strawberries and peaches any time, any day. I get so excited over summer bringing cherries into season that I literally dream about them. It’s fine if that fact makes you want to call me crazy, I accept it. The fruits that summer brings along with the hot temperatures makes dealing with the humidity it also brings along for the ride much more bearable. Give me a bowl of cherries, a big piece of cold, juicy watermelon, or perfectly ripe peach and I am one happy and content lady. If it weren’t for the summer fruit, I don’t know if summer and I would be such good friends.

With my summer fruit love out in the open, I know not everyone shares the deep down love I do for it. If you’re already a little bored of these summer fruits, I highly suggest you throw them in your oven. Roasting them can bring out new depths of flavor and will make you fall in love all over again. Roast some fruit for your next cookout, people might think you are a culinary genius. Take full credit for the idea, I’m just here to help you look awesome to your friends.
